Even StomperNet Gurus Have Difficulties
Finally finally”¦. The postman arrived with my package. I’ve been waiting since September 13th for this shipment and to be honest with you I was almost ready to get angry.
It has taken a total of 37 days for the StomperNet guys to get my package over the pond. Back in September when StomperNet’s “Stomping the Search Engines 2″ launched I followed the process closely. I knew that I didn’t have the $800 per month to become a full STSE2 member though. I was already an affiliate with them I had already read the “The Net Effect“ magazine (which I highly recommend) and had watched most of the free STSE2 DVD (which I also highly recommend).
I knew that these guys knew what they were talking about and I needed someone that I felt I could trust to teach me what works (which I not so sure that all the promotional emails that I get daily will be able to do). So besides subscribing to “The Net Effect“ (which is $40 a month) I bought a series of 16 DVDs which equals A LOT OF HOURS OF INFORMATION. I can’t wait to start seeing them and learning from them.
But back to the point I was trying to make”¦. Even though these guys are considered some of the best internet marketers today the launch they did and the delay in shipment proves that anyone can fail. I won’t go into any details about what failed about the launch (I don’t know whether it was just for affiliates to hear) but I can tell you that if it wasn’t for the fact that I trusted them and that I knew that their reputation would get severely damaged from not living up to their end of the deal I would have asked for a refund.

The problem was so much that the shipment was delayed but it was the lack of communication. Apparently they should have sent several emails with tracking numbers etc. (which I later got an email about because most customers hadn’t gotten that email). The funny thing was that this information email didn’t include the tracking number so I (and the other customers) still didn’t know anything about the shipment.
After sending 3 emails I got a human reply which said that the package was sent September 23th. So that makes it 4 weeks for from the package left the handling company till I got it. That isn’t okay in my book.
So beside the fact that I just needed to complain a little I think that there is a valuable lesson for everyone in this. Communication is extremely vital when things go wrong and if you’re the company selling something, be sure to provide the customer with as much information as possible. I’ll even go as far as to state that rather provide the customer with too much information that too little.
To close off I’ll just like to say that you can expect for me to be sharing a lot more of the information I get from these DVDs and “The Net Effect“ magazine.

I look forward to reading about what useful information you may get from the DVD’s. I considered ordering it, but after reading the list of content, I decided not to. I would probably not get around to watching all of the DVD’s anyway.
Hi Frank, I know what you mean. If the content is what I expect it to be then there will be about 80 hours of watching…. But I think the point is to pick what you need and then act on it. There is no reason for watching 10 hours of optimizing for ecommerce if you don’t have an online store.
What I would recommend though is that you order The Net Effect. The free DVD that you get with the magazine is pure gold. Once you get the free magazine and free dvd then you can always cancel the subscription of the magazine. I believe you’ll find that to be the best shipping & handling costs you have ever paid. I know I did.

I love how you pointed out that even though you trusted them, you were still leery when things didn’t go right.

Glad to see yours has arrived, gives me some hope mine might soon – ordered and paid for 5th September,shipped 17th September (12 days to ship!), 23rd October – Still nothing arrived. All I get from their customer services is automated replies also; deeply, deeply unimpressive. I’ll hold on for a bit longer then I’ll have to go for the big red ‘charge back’ button. Its annoying because I regard Dan Thies highly in the SEO field and can’t wait to get hold of his material. Fingers crossed!
Andrew, I believe that they sent out an email saying that nothing was shipped until late September but I might be wrong.
I believe that the problem lies with the company that does the handling part. I can imagine how frustrated the StomperNet guys was be because I’m sure that they are aware of the problem.

So how was the course?
I have the STSE2 myself, and love all the teachings. But I also wanted to get the Stompernet intro course or what the call it. All the colored DVD’s but I couldn’t aford it at the time.
So what I wanted to know is weather you like that part. I wanted it because I want to optimize my wife’s webshop in all the aspects I can.
