Thank you for your comment. I would NEVER run a SURVEY on anyone. That would offer people a chance to discredit someone and do it anonymously (which is for cowards).

But I am curious why you think that. Please explain.

I guess what Johnny is referring to is the fact that Marcel is well-known for using (the short-term solution) cloaking, which – worst-case scenario – will get you banned from Google. Go take advantage of the offer – but be aware of the prize you might pay.

@Vadskær, I knew what Johnny was referring to but I had hoped he would put his head out and say what he meant. I know that Marcel has been caught in the past doing some grey/black hat stuff but as with every other SEO service you might buy (or get for free) you should always get an upfront description of what it is that they intend to do.

Secondly this SEO prize is purely link building (I know I didn’t mention that in the post but it says so at Marcel’s site). That means that he’ll never get access to the site and if I understand it correctly that will leave cloaking out of the picture, right?

Oh… and the “no free meal” thing depends on how you look at things.

Mikael is right. This has nothing to do with cloaking. This is pure link building via articles of handwritten articles. I haven’t been cloaking for 6 months or something. The managing director of Cloaking System suddenly disappeared with some money from the company and we chose to stop it all (the company, the services, etc.). And our contract says no cloaking in a period after Cloaking System.

And as I have mentioned many times before: Cloaking is not a thing I do a lot. I would ALWAYS prefer some good old fashion white hat SEO… Cloaking System was an extra service for customers to rank on long tail keywords and typos and stuff

But to sum up. I don’t cloak and it has never been my primary SEO service. The competition is pure white hat

Nope – link building is certainly not cloaking and should be considered fairly safe.

However – Johnny’s comment made me curious. According to Bamboo Medias website (www.bamboo-media.dk) señor Fuursted is CEO and founder of Bamboo Media A/S. According to http://www.cvr.dk (public listing of all danish companies) there is no such thing as Bamboo Media. If you look up Bamboo Media’s CVR no. a combany based in Vejle shows up. Well heck – I consider you a bright man, Mikael and believe you know what you’re doing. I still agree with Johnny – you could’ve provided a little background on Marcel considering the cloaking-story.

And on another note, Marcel. If the managing director suddenly disappears I certainly don’t think that you’re obliged in any way to follow that contract keeping you away from cloaking. But then again – aren’t most people staying away from cloaking today?

P.S. I hear what you’re saying about the free meal, Mikael. But I still believe that there’s no such thing as a free meal

Just because CVR isn’t updated it doesn’t mean that Bamboo Media A/S isn’t a secondary name for Just Network A/S

And if I make a contract, I’m doing everything in my power to follow that contract. Just because a person is gone, it doesn’t mean that the contract is

I do have to note that I don’t see what any background of Marcel has to do with the fact that he is offering to do one month of link building on your site for free. I honest don’t! Had it been the same if he had been convicted of hitting his girlfriend (which would REALLY be a crime) and I had know about it; should I have shared that too?

The great thing about link building is that it has nothing to do with your site. It is external factors and you (as a site owner) have no control over it at all. The worst thing that could happen is that it wouldn’t have any effect which would only mean that Marcel wasted his time.

There is nothing to lose here… only possible benefits (possible free meal).

My bad… Seems like CVR certainly doesn’t update frequently.

@Marcel – seems like you’re a man of honour Hope the disappearing manager is reading this.

@Mikael – Well, Marcel being a wife-beater is in no way related to his SEO-work, but his SEO-reputation is. (However, I would prefer you warned me, if I started dating Marcel). From your initial post I got the impression that it was SEO-work as in any type of SEO work as opposed to just link-building.
