Google Has Released Google Toolbar 5 Beta
I’ve always been a fan of the Google Toolbar. Not because of all the features and gadgets but because of the small pagerank “green bar”. Google has now revised and updated the toolbar and a lot of things haven’t changed but they have made room for a few new add-ons.
The toolbar has now become even more flexible and you can add a lot of different features to it. As you will also see in the video below you now have the option of adding a button directly to YouTube and a Weather Forecast. Now these aren’t features that I’m going to use and they were instantly removed when I installed it.
One feature that I did add was the Keyword Density feature from SEOchat. This little feature will let you test the keyword density on any page with the click of a button. Now that is really cool and useful if you ask me.
You can download the beta 5 toolbar and install the button from SEOchat in a matter of minutes.

The only thing I don’t like about the new toolbar is the fact that they have made the pagerank icon smaller. This means that unless you have a pagerank of 5 or above it will look like you don’t have any. I have a feeling this is because Google wants us to know that we shouldn’t place that much energy on pagerank (which we have known for a long time… but it was still a cool green bar)
