Yea, it's adwords I'm trying to set up now. I wish their was an easier way to do it though.

I'm testing out some clickBank programs, so I'm testing a lot of cheap keywords, but different ads for each keyword.

Thomas I must admit that I have often wondered that myself too. My conclusion (without doing any research though) was that since the price was low (and I were trying to make money with Adsense) then it wasn't worth it.

On the other hand it might be worth trying to go for that word if you're working with Adwords.

very good and short explanation of the different ones.
I'm now looking at some results that puzzle me a bit though.
I'm trying to do something with a french course through clickbank and on one keyword phrase the green bar is almost full like there is alot of competition, but the estimated min. bid price for placement 1-3 is google's minimum, 0,40 kr.

What could that mean?

Hi E.Umana, I agree that broad match is only for companies with very deep pockets when doing PPC. Exact match is great for PPC as you get really targeted trafic. Sure there will be fewer click but they'll be better prospects and therefore more likely to buy. I do however agree that broad match is the way to go for PPC. I just want to make sure that you understand that this article isn't about PPC ;)

When doing ppc, I never really considered broad match as it was not targeted enough and produced wasted clicks, Exact match again: way too little clicks and never thought that I could benefit SEOwise for usin it. I've always used phrase match.

@ Pete, I totally agree. If the site is crap then there is no need for any research but as you say, why spend time on crap?

The search funtion is on it's way. ;) I know it's missing and a few other things are too. I hope to have it done soon.

Thanks,
Mikael

Cool stuff. I could ask the same question Micahel. I've been using this strategy with all my serious sites - and taken them to the top in Google in a few month. After all - why waste time and precious space on keywords that nobody uses?

Congratulations with your new theme Michael. Very cool and international style. Where is the search function? Just a thought...

Yours Sincerely
Pete :-)
