If you know anything about search engine optimization you have probably heard of either the SEOmoz website or of Rand Fishkin that started it. Rand is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to optimizing a website to achieve better rankings. And it was therefore with great anticipation that I listened to the interview that the guys from MindVally Laps did with no other than Rand himself.
The interview is a little over 33 minutes long but it is worth it. You might know some of the things that Rand mentions but I’m sure that you will not only benefit from hearing it again but you might also learn some new stuff. Personally I was especially surprised about his comment on planning your linkbuilding strategy BEFORE even launching your site. I have to admit that I have never thought about that before launching a site… have you?

I actually thought about SEO and link building before I started http://wordpress-themes.dk.. but due to time and vacation, things haven’t really taken off yet..
But having a small plan makes you remember to do the right things, and keep a good SEO strategy all the way through…
Most people probably launch their first site/webshop without any thought for SEO and link building. But more experienced users will probably give it a thought or two before launching another site.
I know, I will with future sites. (but didn’t with my first sites)
I am impressed guys. I do think SEO (onpage) when I launch a new site but I have never said to myself: “How do I plan to build links to this site - what will my strategy be”. I’m impressed that you did!
