If you are a sucker for surfing the internet and reading different blogs and news sites you can’t help but run (or surf) into sites that have been launched solely as a linkbait scheme.

I recently had that experience when reading an Internet marketing blog where one of the normal writers had taken a break to spend some time on a business that he had just launched. It was a dating site but not like the ones that already exist by the dozens.

When I first saw the site I was partially stunned and partially amazed. Why and how did anyone come up with an idea for a Zombie Dating site?

At that time I didn’t realize that it was a linkbait until reading the Mingle2 blog. Mingle2 is a huge dating website that has made it part of their business marketing strategy to create strange websites and other weird stuff to attract attention from online surfers.

In my case they succeeded (besides the fact that I’m married so I won’t become a customer of theirs). But I’m sure they don’t care because now I’m telling my readers about them and sending them some link juice as well.

There are a lot of ways to create linkbait and get attention and Mingle2 has certain shown us how it can be done successfully (several times in a row).
